Note to Visitors: This page will be edited and finalized by the teams by March 21, 2012.  Check back then for the final information, and be ready to vote on your favorite team on the Duke Start-Up Challenge Facebook Page.

Directions for the team: Each team in the Round 2 will get a Public Page like this, which you will be able to update and edit directly.  It will have a video (created by you) and the answers to your Idea Summary posted below.
Finalize this page by March 21st at 9am, which is when we will advertise it to the judges and to DukeGEN!

<Insert your video here>

Note: Each team will upload their own video to YouTube and make it publicly available.  Then  link to it on this page using Insert-Video-YouTube. The contents of the video are up to you.  Limit it to 10 minutes and make it as compelling as possible.  The only people allowed to have speaking roles or voiceover roles are Duke students (as defined in the Rules page).  If you were in a Special Interest Track, your students must conform to those restrictions, even if you are competing in a none Special Interest Track.

Idea Summary
Note: Input your Idea Summary from Round 1 here. If you want to edit your Round 1 answers for Round 2, please edit them directly on your page using your gmail account to access your page.  Links to your own Public Pages can be found on the Round 2 listing.  Let us know if you need help getting access to your page. Contact Howie Rhee at hwr2@duke.edu.

Finally, please remove all yellow highlighted text on this as you edit and finalize your page.  If you want to alter the layout, add pictures, change the font, you may!  You can also link to other pages, make subpages, and add attachments. Make this page your own.  Our suggested content (Video, Idea Summary) is a minimum, but you may add to that.

Write a summary paragraph: In about a paragraph, describe what problem you are solving, how many people are experiencing the problem, and what your solution is.

Tell us more about the problem you are solving.  Why is it a problem and how big of a problem is it?

Who do you think your target customers are and how many are there?

Do you think your customers are looking for a solution?

Tell us about your solution.  How does it work and what are the benefits?

Do you have any regulatory hurdles, and how will you get around them?
This matters for healthcare (med device and pharmaceutical) ideas.  If it doesn't apply to you, you can delete this question.

Do you have any intellectual property (IP) that can be protected?  Is it protected?
This matters more for technology based ideas.  If it doesn't apply to you, you can delete this question.

What's your plan for developing your product or service including some dates and milestones?

How much funding to get to a company exit?

Tell us about yourselves (Who is on your team, what are you studying, what year are you)

Use of Funds - if you won $50,000 how would you use it?

Anything else you would like to share with us?
